MEET Digital Culture Centre is the first International Center for Digital Art and Culture in Milan. Born with the support of Fondazione Cariplo, it aims to contribute to bridging the Italian digital divide in the conviction that innovation is a cultural fact, even before being technological.

Conceived and chaired by art critic Maria Grazia Mattei, MEET is a physical and virtual organism that communicates ideas, that connects people through exhibitions, conferences, workshops, master classes and creative services dedicated to the expressive and cultural opportunities of digital. It is a media within which content spreads everywhere: a continuous flow of content, ideas and people.

MEET is located in the Porta Venezia district in an early twentieth-century building that Fondazione Cariplo purchased from the Metropolitan City of Milan. It covers 1,500 square metres on three floors, redesigned by the Carlo Ratti Associati studio in response to the challenge of creating a home for digital culture.
The project hinges on the Living Staircase, the inhabited staircase capable of becoming theatre or work space from time to time, the building interprets the ideas of interconnection and participation. A key element of MEET is also the Immersive Room, the immersive room equipped with 15 projectors offering extremely bright 4K images for continuous projection on three 270° walls, and the almost 200-seat Theatre with three projection surfaces.
